Howong, located at 6718 Bay Parkway in Brooklyn, NY, offers an impressive array of traditional Chinese cuisine, garnering rave reviews from locals and visitors alike. With standout dishes like the 豉油雞 (Soy Sauce Chicken) and Honey Roast Pork, both priced at $15, Howong captures the essence of Fukinese flavors. Patrons frequently highlight the alluring seafood options, such as the 海鮮豆腐煲 (Seafood Tofu Pot) and savor-worthy scallops sautéed in black pepper sauce. Customers speak highly of the ambiance, noting the well-decorated environment that provides a warm dining atmosphere. The restaurant’s dim sum is a particular favorite; one longtime visitor proclaims it as the best in Brooklyn, a testament to its quality and authenticity. Dishes like the versatile shrimp selections—from sweet and sour to sautéed with garlic—leave diners craving more. The service complements the culinary experience, with many reviewers appreciating the attentive staff. Ambrose Eng recommends the egg tart, praising it as “extra amazing,” while Anthony Chin echoes sentiments of surprise at Howong’s low initial ratings, asserting that this hidden gem deserves a spotlight. Overall, Howong enchants with its delicious offerings and genuine charm, making it a must-visit for any Chinese food enthusiast in Brooklyn.

Pretty great food and service. Not sure why it got low ratings and avoided the place initially because of that. Thankfully was recommended to try it out and really enjoy this place!

Have been coming here for years back when it was "Joy's K ". The food here is amazing, traditional Chinese food. Their Dim Sum is the best in Broolyn, and I know: I have been to many of them here.

I love this place. Had the shrimp rice rolls, beef rice rolls, shumai, for dimsum. Delicious. But the egg tart really shined and was extra amazing. Also had the wonton noodle soup and beef and broccoli and they were also very good!!!

You get a huge meat over rice for 6. This is insane deal for a tourist from the south. Dim sum is cheap and tasty, too. We visited this place for at least 5 times for the past two weeks. Service is quick and prompt. This is a wonderful place for dim sum and Cantonese food.
